The Helsinki site consists of six subgroups:

The Biomedicum Helsinki has an exceptional infrastructure, including the Biochip Center for microarray studies, the animal facility for mice and rat (both barrier and open space), a Sequencing core, a large DNA extraction and storage facility, the Finnish Genome Center for genotyping and the high throughput somatic cell analysis platform. The Biomedicum Bioinformatics Core (BBU) provides biocomputing expertise as well as computing resources for researchers.
